Getting Ready for the Fall "Selling Season"

If you haven't started yet you've already lost.

What do I mean by that?

Well keep in mind that you don't sell to cold traffic. Your sales come from people who know, like, and trust you, so how do you do that? You start right now to build your list.

As people subscribe to your list, give them something of value to keep them on your list, and also build a rapport with them. Just sending random e-books out doesn't work. You need to give them something of value.... TO THEM.  You need to give them something of value that they can apply to their business, that it's going to help them improve. Ebooks are an excellent source of that if they are appropriately selected.

The best thing you can do right now to prepare for the selling season is to get a good lead capture system or multiple lead capture systems in which you are bringing people in to a message stream that provides them valuable information, keeps them engaged, keeps them interested, and builds trust.

You will not sell to cold traffic. You will not sell on safelists.

Consider that you don't want to sell to anybody, you want to suggest and recommend based on your knowledge of that person and their business.  I prefer to use my OWN experience with a product, service, or system, to the extent that in my 20+ years as a professional consultant, I have a policy that I USE WHAT I SELL, or disclose that I don't have first-hand knowledge of it.

I give away more free stuff to get people interested and build their trust.  I include them in my newsletter which is growing on a daily basis. My newsletter contains tips, suggestions and reviews, things that people, look for when they are building trust with someone.

I don't say go buy something. I say check it out. If it is a match for you then I'll be happy to help you get set up. But I don't want you to just go blindly buying something that isn't appropriate for your business. You might like dogs but selling dog food on safelists is inappropriate. However giving coupons to interested people or ways to get coupons is an appropriate use of safelests.
