You may notice that some words are looking a little strange, including dots and hyphens, and sometimes misspellings. Well, it is intentional. I try to get the maximum distribution of my newsletters, but the SEO gods are messing with me. What passes the spam checkers in one system is failing in another.
I know that dollar signs in the subject line are a no-no, and punctuation could be a red flag, too many exclamation points, the use of ellipses, and even personalization variables like ~firstname.
One site I use daily is particularly finicky about dollar signs (even in the ad body) so I have to spell it out with "dollars" or "USD".
It's worth your time to review your error logs and messages when you submit your ads, or distribute newsletters, which is a large part of my business. I use the tracking tools available, and tweak subject lines and ad copy. I split test to get the best results.
TIP: SuperSolos allow up to 5 subject lines. I use them to split test the SUBJECT LINES. After a day or two, review the SuperSolo register to see the number distributed/clicks for each subject line.
